No bake cheesecake

My mum's never liked baked cheesecake so for most of my 20 years I haven't been exposed to cheesecake but a recipe she saw on the tv brought this Lime &white chocolate cheesecake into our home.
Refreshing, sweet and indulgent, this cheesecake is lemon squeasy easy and tastes amazing!
Shortbread & white chocolate base with lime juice &zest, condensed milk and Philly cheese topping. Yum!
This is just the beginning of my love affair with cheesecake.

Browning bananas?

Make a banana loaf but jazz it up with some dark chocolate flakes or caramelised walnuts (I chose both)
Perfect with a cup of tea :)

To Health...

Flaked smoked mackerel and lemon juice. Balsamic vinegar, salt & sugar cucumber ribbons. Baby spinach leaves, boiled baby potatoes, red onion, red cabbage, beer root & chopped apple.
Delicious summer dinner :)

Home cooking

So I've moved home for summer (first time since I left for uni 2years ago) and my cooking has really developed. It's the first time I've been confident cooking for my mum, queen of food.
Here is a version of a roast. My mum is allergic to sooo many things therefore this roast is a bit unusual.
She prepared some Turkey whilst the kid and I had left over stewed chicken.
I made roasted sweet potato & parsnips accompanied by boiled broccoli topped with a seriously strong cheddar, goats milk & cornflour roux. Seasoned with salt, pepper and mustard. And topped with even more cheese and cuts of bacon.

So much flavour in everything, we polished it all off!

Why Starbucks, why?

So after hating Starbucks most of my teens...for no reason, I came to liking them and now best bud, BabyHitler rules that all friends must be starbuckers so we're in there A LOT.
My issues is I never know what to drink. Over autumn they started the salted caramel hot chocolate and I had that moment, where Id found IT, thee drink for me. I made the most of it, little did I know a "winter warmer" is only for autumn and doesn't actually count in the winter. The day I found out, I was so gutted that the barista, Matt offered to try and make me one with table salt. I was that desperate I said yes and it was close to perfection, but just close :(
I even messed up with a fancy chocolate milkshake the other day, HOW? It was so bitter and bland. I held BabyHitler's whilst she was trying outfits on and ended drinking about half of hers..I must find out what it was cause that was delicious! Layers of flavours, just the right sweetness and coffee strength.
So I'm still searching for my perfect Starbucks drink wise. Food is another matter. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM! The chocolate brownie was pants. BabyHitler had a cinnamon swirl, standard right? No, the glaze was harbouring orange zest and most likely juice as well, it overpowered everything and nowhere was it stated that this cinnamon swirl has citrus tendencies! I had an almond croissant once, that was alright I guess, not worth the weight it relieved my pocket of though.
The photo attached is a mince pie I bought Hitler which she then made me try as Ive never really "got" mince pies, anyway it was shit like everything else. Just thought I'd show you the offender.
